Agricultural Land Lease Monitoring and Auditing
PY Agronomy provides clients with an independent Agricultural Land Lease Monitoring and Auditing service.
This is a service where PY Agronomy — as an independent party — assesses the properties under a rental agreement to monitor the progress of the tenure. It can be conducted as often as the landowner requests and provides information for both parties on land asset management.
Why is it important to invest in a monitoring and auditing service?
The appetite for land acquisition is at an all-time high, and land values exclude many people from expansion. Alternate expansion methods for agricultural production can include: leasing, renting, share farming or agisting.
Our service 'Agronomic Baseline Assessment' provides the land owner with the relevant information to be able to maximise the value of their land asset whilst giving them the ability to establish the terms of the agreement according to their own goals and expectations.
Interested parties that will utilise the land are also provided with information relevant and what is required from an investment perspective to maintain or increase the production base of the property.
Once potential land occupiers view the baseline report they can also document their intentions for the use of the land including their management processes and how they intend to maintain or increase production levels for the property.
What technology is used to perform this service?
-
Paddock recording systems
-
Satellite imagery — measuring dry matter production and ground cover percentage (critical in dry periods)
-
Soil testing data — we soil test at the beginning, during the tenure and at the conclusion utilising GPS data to sample the same sites.
