The PY Agronomy Introductory Package is designed specifically for those farmers who already have a cropping plan in place for this season, but would like an experienced agronomist to cast their eye over it and give some suggestions of potential ways to improve it.

This may be through nutrition, weed control strategies, rotations and varietal selection or guidance on applicable best management practices. You can then be assured that you are moving in the right direction throughout the season.

This package includes 3 farm visits throughout the season, so we can answer any questions and support and guide you with any challenges you may have.

This package was designed to allow farmers who are considering working with PY Agronomy to ‘try before they buy’ – the Introductory Package is available as a 12 month subscription only, after which time you can choose to upgrade to the Premium Package.

Introductory Package in Detail

3 Farm Visits & Recommendation Reports

Pre Season Visit

We will discuss this year’s cropping plan and your production goals to give us the information we need to make recommendations of how best to achieve your desired outcomes.

You will receive a report that will outline any KEY FINDINGS AND CHALLENGES WE THINK YOU MAY HAVE, and then suggest ways to manage, improve and better these. We will use our proven knowledge on varietal selection and rotation success, pre-empt issues that may become problematic for you, and present any opportunities that will save you time and money. Planning is critical to your overall success.

Mid Season Visit

We will pre-organise a visit where we can answer any of your weed and nutrient management questions. USE US AS A SOUNDING BOARD FOR ANY KEY ISSUES OR CHALLENGES YOU ARE FACING and we’ll review your weed management and nutrition programs.

Pre Harvest/Grain Fill Visit

We will be there pre harvest during grain fill to ASSESS YIELD POTENTIAL, and to identify any weed and disease issues that need to be taken into consideration in the following years cropping plan. THIS IS A CRITICAL ASSESSMENT TIME FOR FUTURE PLANNING.

PY Agronomy Audios

You will be emailed a link that will take you directly to the current PY Agronomy audio – these audios are designed so that you can listen to them on the go, whilst sitting in your ute having smoko, on the tractor or in the office.

These audios are commentary from PY Agronomy about what we’ve been seeing in the paddocks, what other farmers are up to in the district, upcoming issues to be aware of, opportunities and events. These are an easy way for you to be kept informed with topical issues in your area.

Attend Our Pre-Season Meeting & Local Spring Tour

Pre Season Meeting

Opportunity to attend our Pre-Season Meeting to discuss potential issues, key opportunities, trial data from external trials and PY Agronomy, discussion from growers regarding their learnings and experiences and opportunities to ask any questions relevant to your farm.

Local Spring Tour

Opportunity to attend our annual Local Spring Tour where our clients tour around the local area on a bus and see what other farmers have achieved this year as well as any specific challenges, visit trial sites and discuss key findings and have lunch whilst we listen to a guest speaker. This bus trip is a highlight for my clients!

How do I sign up?
To sign up for the Introductory Package, please contact PY Agronomy via phone or email - we can then discuss with you your farming business including what you want to achieve this season, machinery available, labour etc
How much phone and email support do I receive?
Phone calls are limited to 1/week, and additional calls will be charged at the standard fee.
What happens if I require extra farm visits?
If time permits, PY Agronomy can include extra visits as required, and these will be charged at a quoted rate depending on time involved.
Can I upgrade to the Premium Package at any time?
You can choose to join or upgrade at any time of the year and fees will be charged from that nomination time.
Is this package based on a 12 month subscription?
Yes this package was designed for a 12 month period only, after which time you can choose to move into the Premium Package, or use the casual Agronomy Advice service when required throughout the season (if time permits, keeping in mind that the majority of our time is spent with our Premium clients).
